## Hi, I'm **Max Mehl**.
Free and Open Source Software is my thing, be it license compliance, governance, strategy, communication, or development. This is also what I do at my current job with Deutsche Bahn and DB Systel's CTO Team. Before that I worked as Program Manager at the Free Software Foundation Europe.
I am deeply involved in Free and Open Source Software from various perspectives — strategic, technical, legal, community, and even political.
I am a political and administrative science graduate, and founded a small company for web services.
In my work, I apply this expertise at Deutsche Bahn in DB Systel's CTO Team. Before this, I was a Senior Program Manager at the Free Software Foundation Europe (FSFE).
In my little free time I love doing sports, being a scouts guide, and playing and listening to music. Once in a while [I blog](/blog) about stuff that keeps me busy.
